Care Services

The main aim of the Home are to provide residents with a homely, safe and caring atmosphere to maintain or improve their well-being.

Our main objectives are to:

  • Enable a positive contribution to society
  • Facilitate an individual’s right to privacy, dignity and respect
  • Empower people to live as fulfilling a life as possible, by maintaining their independence
  • Maximise people’s quality of life

The Home prides itself on catering for holistic, independent care for each resident, where their individuality, privacy and dignity are respected.

We assess the needs of each resident and document a plan of care with them. Staff, residents and their family are empowered to be involved with this continual process and therefore each resident has a nominated Key worker.

Philosophy of Care

At Windsor Lodge, we are committed to providing high quality, personalised care. We believe in caring for others how we would like to be cared for.

By actively encouraging independence, our residents can make choices in the care they receive, to enhance their well-being. We are committed to improving the quality of life of our residents and acknowledge and value the diversity of cultures and beliefs.

Windsor Lodge values all staff and we are committed to their personal development and endeavour to provide them with the necessary training, support and resources to help them maintain high standards of care.

We aim to provide an open, positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors, staff and residents at Windsor Lodge.

Facilities

The home is an open-planned bungalow and residents have free access to all communal areas, as this is their home. They are encouraged to enjoy being indoors and outdoors, taking time to enjoy the beautiful landscaped gardens.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own possessions, pictures and furniture, to ensure their rooms reflect their individuality.

The home has 24 hour care provision, so assistance is available at all times if required.

Catering

Meals or snacks can be served in the resident’s private room as requested or in the main dining room with other residents. The home provides three main home cooked meals with refreshments available throughout the day and night and any special dietary requirements are catered for.

Activities

Our activity co-ordinator works with residents to create a varied activities programme that focuses on their well-being and homies and interests.

Our person-centred approach ensures that activities are tailored to each individual to reflect their preferences, needs and interest.

Visiting

Visitors are warmly welcomed and are encouraged to take part in our regular outings. The continuity and familiarity of family and friends is extremely important. Windsor Lodge has an open visiting policy; however, we would encourage visitors to avoid the following times: between 07:00 – 09:00 and 12:00 – 13:00, to allow the residents to have meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
